The tax credit is capped at the lesser of $750 per taxpayer ($1,500 for married couples) or your Ohio tax liability. To determine your tax liability, consult with your tax professional or refer to your Ohio Schedule of Credits that accompanies the Ohio IT 1040. Any gift amount has an impact!
